Mekong River,Thailand The Mekong River runs through many countries like China, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Many people rely on this river for multiple things. Their main food source comes from the river. Fish are caught, plants are grown, and transported to other locations to be sold. The river also is a way of travel. Around the river is a jungle like terrain. The soil is vary fertile because of the river so it is relatively easy for plant life to grow. This river shows how life is dependant on water. This is one of many ways that shows the sembeotic reationship batween water and humans.

Mekong River is very impotant to Soth East Asia. It supplies water to the people, the water is clean cold and refreshing water. It also brings food to the people. Like fish and the soil is very health so plants can be grown. If the river ever dried up it would be bad for the people. That would me no more fresh water. It also means now more food like fish and plants. So the Mekong River is very important to South East Asia.
The Ogallala Aquifer has some things the same and different between Mekong River. One thing is that people get water and food from the Ogallala Aquifer. For example farms use the water to water there plants. Peoples wells get water from the Ogallala Aquifer. Just like the people get water and food from the Mekong River. A difference is that the Mekong is a river and above the ground. The Ogallala Aquifer is a huge lake and it's underground. That is what is the same and different between the Mekong River and the Ogallala Aquifer.
